Made to Your Size: How It Works
If you have looked at one of our rings and wondered where the size dropdown is, you have not missed it. There isn't one — and the reason is worth two minutes of your time.
Quick answer
Quick answer: you order first and we take your size afterwards. Within three business hours of your order we get in touch. If you know your size, tell us and we make it. If you don't, we send a free ring sizer, and the piece is made once you have measured. Orders are completed within 14 days, and if the fit is still wrong afterwards we resize it free within 60 days.
Why there is no size dropdown
Most jewellery sites ask you to pick a ring size before you can add anything to the basket. That looks helpful, and for anyone who already knows their size it is. For everyone else it is a wall.
We looked at what actually happens. A buyer who does not know their size has three options at that dropdown: guess, abandon the order, or go and find a way to measure before coming back. Guessing produces returns. Abandoning produces nothing. Coming back later mostly does not happen.
So we removed the barrier rather than the service. You order the design, the metal and the carat — the decisions you can genuinely make on the day — and we handle sizing as a conversation afterwards, when there is a real person to help and a free sizer in the post if you need one.
It is a deliberate choice, not a missing feature. Every piece is made to order or in stock, so the size is set as part of making it rather than picked off a shelf.
What happens after you order, step by step
1. You place the order. Choose the design, the gold colour and the carat — 9ct, 14ct or 18ct. No size required.
2. We contact you within three business hours. By email or WhatsApp, whichever you prefer. This is a real message from our team, not an automated form.
3. You either tell us your size or we send a sizer. If you already know it, that is the end of the sizing step. If not, a free ring sizer goes out to you — a simple, reusable band you can measure with at home in a couple of minutes.
4. We make the piece to that size. For made-to-order pieces this is where production starts. For pieces held in stock, it is where we set or adjust the size before dispatch.
5. It is completed and dispatched within 14 days, with free insured UK delivery. On qualifying pieces it goes to a UK Assay Office and comes back independently hallmarked before it reaches you.
If you already know your size
Say so at checkout in the order notes, or reply to our first message with the size. We will confirm it back to you before anything is made, because a size given from memory is worth double-checking against the standard UK letter scale.

Bear in mind that a wider band generally needs to be a little larger than a narrow one for the same finger, and that fingers change size slightly with temperature and time of day — which is why we would rather confirm than assume.

Buying as a surprise
Proposals are the common case, and the one where the size dropdown causes the most damage — because the person buying often has no way of knowing.
Our approach works well here for the same reason it works elsewhere: you can place the order without a size and we will talk you through how to find one discreetly. Borrowing a ring she already wears, tracing the inside on paper, or asking someone close to her are all more reliable than guessing. If it still doesn't fit
Sizing at a distance is not perfect, so there is a safety net.
Free resizing within 60 days. If the fit is not right, send it back and we will resize it at no cost. This is the option most people need, and it is why we would always rather you order than wait until you are certain.
30-day returns and 30-day exchange. If the piece is not what you hoped for at all, the standard return and exchange windows apply.
The exception is bespoke. A piece designed and made specifically for you cannot be returned, for the obvious reason that it exists only because you asked for it. We are explicit about this before any bespoke order is confirmed. Resizing still applies.
