Why it matters
Many jewellers offer a beautiful design in one gold only — often 18ct — which puts it out of reach for a lot of couples. By making each design to order, we can offer the same craftsmanship across every carat. You decide where your budget goes: a higher carat, a larger diamond, or a wider band. Can I choose the gold carat on any ring?
Most of our rings are made to order in your choice of 9ct, 14ct or 18ct solid gold. The design stays the same; you select the carat that suits your budget and taste.
Is 9ct still solid gold?
Yes. 9ct is solid gold (37.5% pure gold) — never plated or filled. It's the most hard-wearing and affordable of the three, with a subtler tone.
Does a higher carat mean a "better" ring?
Not necessarily — it depends on how the piece will be worn. Higher carats have richer colour and more gold content; lower carats are harder-wearing and more affordable. All three are solid gold.
How long does a made-to-order ring take?
Production typically takes around 14 working days. The exact time can vary with the design, and we'll keep you updated.
Are the rings hallmarked?
Qualifying pieces are UK hallmarked under the Hallmarking Act 1973, so you can independently verify the precious-metal content. Very small items below the legal weight threshold may not require a hallmark.
